Bellavista

Cities
A visit to the charming medieval town of Artà and the castle ruins of Capdepera are lovely day trips. Can Picafort and the pretty town of Pollença, with its legendary Carrer del Calvari, are easily accessible by car. Those heading to Palma can discover a lot on the way (even if it's only about an hour away), and then enjoy the highlights of the island's capital. If you stop off in Petra, Sineu, Inca, Binisallem, or another beautiful place on the way to Palma and linger there, you won't go wrong. Palma will still have its treasures waiting for you tomorrow.

Beaches
Directly in Betlem, there are swimming opportunities and the small, dreamy beach "Mirador de Na Clara" (see the Discovery Tours section). There are also other small swimming spots between Betlem and Colonia de San Pedro. Those looking for a large sandy beach will find some fantastic examples, such as La Canova (near Son Serra de Marina), Cala Mesquida, Cala Torta, Cala Agulla, or, for something even livelier, Cala Son Moll (Cala Rajada).

sport
Jogging along the coast: Right or left, that is the question. Water: Swimming, snorkeling, sailing, motorboating, stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, fishing... take your pick. Golf: It doesn't get much more beautiful: either in Capdepera or Canyamel. Tennis: How about a training session at the Rafa Nadal Academy in Manacor? Ice skating on the village pond in Betlem: Unfortunately, we can't offer that.
Mediterranean lifestyle – right on your doorstep
The surroundings of Bellavista
The idyllic town of Betlem lies in the northeast of Mallorca and marks the end of the Bay of Alcudia. Betlem is the starting point of an extensive nature reserve (Parc Natural de Llevant), and the road ends here, meaning there is no through traffic. Above Betlem and directly above Bellavista lies the Serra de Llevant mountain range, with our local mountain, Son Morell (Puig d'en Moreel, the highest peak of the Serra de Llevant), and just a few kilometers away, the legendary Puig de Ferrutx. This creates a setting that is second to none: majestic mountain views on one side and a paradisiacal sea view on the other, all without the hustle and bustle of tourists, quite unique in Mallorca.
Despite all the paradisiacal surroundings, the basic necessities are also taken care of: a restaurant, a supermarket with all the essentials and a small café are located in Betlem and are open most of the year.

Between beach, culture and little adventures
Discovery tours in the region
- a hike to the enchanted Ermita de Betlem, which lies above the Bellavista - in its somewhat hidden garden on the hillside you can have a wonderful picnic
- a long walk to the pirate cove "Punta de Caló" along the wonderful cliffs through the nature reserve - if you want, bring your swimwear
- Caribbean beach feeling in Betlem: From Bellavista, you can walk down to the secret beach "Mirador de Na Clara" – this is where relaxed Mallorcans and paradise-seeking guests meet, and in summer, a few small boats anchor there. The last part of the path is a bit rocky, but it's well worth it!
- A day at the sea: A hike from Betlem to the "El Sol Sunshine Bar" in Son Serra de Marina along the coast -> Mediterranean dune landscapes, the small town of Colonia de Sant Pedro, small beeches and beaches, it has it all.
- If you like it lively and are in the mood for culinary or handicraft discoveries: there is a market in Artá on Tuesdays!
- Our insider tip: A kayak tour with the legendary guide Pep: Directly from Betlem you go by water into the adjacent nature reserve, a swimming stop, lots of information about life in the water and the entrance to a cave are included.
And if you don't want to paddle yourself but prefer getting up early in the morning, take a boat trip from Alcudia and experience the sunrise alongside dolphins. There are two companies that organize wonderful tours. Similar tours are also available from Cala Rajada.
